Is this just another way for kids to cheat?
No. NeoBuddi is designed to support learning, not shortcut culture. Socratic Discovery is the default, which means it guides kids with questions, step-by-step thinking, and follow-up checks instead of just dumping answers. Quick Answers mode exists when a child is genuinely stuck, but the goal is still understanding, not answer farming.
How is this different from just using ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a general-purpose AI tool. NeoBuddi is built specifically for children and parents. It adapts to a child’s age, interests, and learning needs, includes layered safety filtering, and gives parents oversight through transcript visibility, alerts, and a PIN-protected dashboard. It also supports neurodivergent and 2E learning profiles when those preferences are added.
How does NeoBuddi adapt to my kid’s specific needs?
When you create a child profile, you can set age, interests, and optional learning preferences like ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, or giftedness. NeoBuddi uses that context to tailor tone, pacing, examples, and support style. You can also choose between Socratic Discovery and Quick Answers mode from the child’s profile settings.
Can I add multiple children?
Yes. The Monthly Premium plan supports up to 3 child profiles. The Yearly Premium plan supports unlimited child profiles. Each child can have their own name, age, interests, and learning preferences.
Will this work for my gifted but struggling reader?
Yes. NeoBuddi supports voice, visual explanations, and more manageable step-by-step breakdowns, which can be especially helpful for kids who are bright but uneven in how they process language or reading. It is designed to be useful for 2E learners, including gifted children with dyslexia or other learning differences.
My kid has ADHD. Will they actually sit still for this?
It was designed with shorter, more supportive interaction loops in mind. NeoBuddi can use voice, visuals, and bite-sized explanations instead of long walls of text. When a child seems frustrated or overloaded, the system can shift its approach and suggest a break when appropriate.
Is it safe? I don’t want them talking to strangers.
There are no stranger-to-stranger social features inside NeoBuddi. No public messaging, no forums, and no open browsing for kids. Parents can review conversations through the PIN-protected dashboard, including transcript visibility, usage controls, and safety alerts.
What is Real-Time Web Search in NeoBuddi?
Real-Time Web Search lets NeoBuddi pull in current information when a child asks something time-sensitive, like today’s weather, recent news, sports scores, or other live facts. The AI fetches and summarizes only the relevant information inside the conversation. Your child does not browse the web, open links, or search independently.
Can my child use NeoBuddi to browse the internet or search Google?
No. NeoBuddi does not give children a browser, clickable links, or open-ended search. Real-Time Web Search is limited to the AI retrieving relevant current information and bringing it back into the guided chat experience when it helps answer the question safely.
What happens when the trial ends?
NeoBuddi includes a 7-day free trial for Premium. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. If you keep the subscription, billing continues through Apple according to the plan you selected. NeoBuddi also has a free tier, and referral codes can earn bonus visuals.
Is there a credit card required to start the free trial?
You will need a valid payment method attached to your Apple ID to start the App Store trial. Apple requires that for subscription trials. You will not be charged during the 7-day trial period if you cancel before renewal.
Can I cancel if it’s not a fit?
Yes. You can cancel through your Apple subscription settings. Billing is handled through Apple, and any refund requests are also handled through Apple’s standard refund process.
What age is NeoBuddi best for?
NeoBuddi is best suited for school-age children who can benefit from guided homework help, calmer explanations, voice support, and parent oversight. Exact fit depends more on reading level, attention span, and support needs than on a single age cutoff. Parents stay in control of how it is used and which features are enabled.
Does NeoBuddi replace a tutor, teacher, or psychoeducational assessment?
No. NeoBuddi is a support tool, not a replacement for a great teacher, a qualified tutor, or a formal psychoeducational assessment. It can help a child understand homework, stay calmer, and get more personalized explanations, but it does not diagnose learning differences or replace professional evaluation when a family needs clarity on deeper learning needs.
Can parents see what their child asked and how NeoBuddi responded?
Yes. Parent oversight is a core part of the product. Parents can review conversation history through the PIN-protected dashboard, monitor usage, and stay informed about how the tool is being used instead of being left in the dark.
Does NeoBuddi work on iPhone and iPad?
Yes. NeoBuddi is built for Apple mobile devices, including iPhone and iPad, so parents and children can use it in the places homework friction usually happens most: at the kitchen table, on the couch, or on the go.
