Built by a parent who lost the homework war.
NeoBuddi started at a kitchen table at 9:47pm, after yet another tear-soaked math worksheet. We built the tutor we wished existed, for our kid and for every curious, gifted, or neurodivergent child whose brain doesn’t fit the average mold.
The night that started it all
Our 10-year-old is a voracious reader, asks questions about black holes at breakfast, and builds ridiculously complex Lego contraptions. He is neurodiverse. School labels him “inconsistent.” We watched him shut down during a 10-problem worksheet he could have solved in his head. The problem wasn’t the math. The problem was that the format didn’t match his brain.
We tried $60/hr tutors. We tried the famous AI chatbots. None of it worked. The tutors explained things the way his textbook did. The AI just gave him the answers. Nobody asked him a question first.
We didn’t want another app. We wanted a thinking partner for our kid. One that knew when to slow down, when to push, and when to stop.
What NeoBuddi is built on
- Socratic by default. The AI is trained to ask before it tells. Every response is structured as a question or a clue, not an answer.
- Neurodiversity-aware. Profile settings for ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, and 2E learners change tone, pacing, and chunking. The conversational pattern itself shifts, not just the prompt.
- Safety-first architecture. Four independent moderation layers, no engagement hacks, no open web, zero data sold.
- Parent in the driver’s seat. Every conversation is readable. Every visual is inspectable. Every setting is tunable.
The people behind it
We’re a small team of parents and engineers who’ve lived this problem at home. We’ve read deeply on 2E and neurodivergent learning, and we keep iterating based on what actually works for the families using the product.
Our promise to you
- Your child’s data is not a product. We never sell it. We don’t use it to train third-party models. We’re COPPA-compliant by default, not as an afterthought.
- No dark patterns. No streaks, no infinite scroll, no dopamine hooks. When they’re done with NeoBuddi, they walk back to the rest of their life.
- Cancel in your Apple subscription settings. No gotcha renewals. No phone trees.

Where we’re going
Today we’re on iPhone and iPad. Android is next. Then a family plan with siblings. Then a “For Educators” track that lets teachers use NeoBuddi in-classroom with differentiated settings per student. Then more. Always shaped by the parents and kids who actually use it.
